AndiSites Inc. has been honored with a 2017 Gold AVA Digital Award for the Carteret Community College website.
With 2,500 entries received from 18 countries, the AVA Digital Awards recognizes outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of digital media, including audio, video, websites, and other forms of digital communication. It is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), an international organization of several thousand production, marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, and freelance professionals.
“Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.”
This budget-friendly redesign and development project included a conversion of Carteret Community College’s old website from hard-to-update code to easy-to-use WordPress; a dramatic mobile-responsive redesign featuring aerial photography of their beautiful waterside location; and a total restructuring to give potential and current students, faculty, alumni, staff, and the community an intuitive and engaging experience. “Featured” home page sections and a touch-enabled slider can be easily changed to promote important content. Programs of study are listed and linked for simple browsing. Unique features such as live camera feeds let users experience the campus in real-time. And by partnering with Carteret’s staff for content entry and formatting, we were able to deliver this high-caliber project for a fraction of the typical cost of a college website redesign project.
