Will is Director of Web Accessibility at AndiSites and has over 15 years of experience ensuring digital content is inclusive and compliant with WCAG 2.x and Section 508 standards. Throughout his career, he has conducted comprehensive accessibility audits for some of the world’s largest technology companies, financial institutions, and e-commerce platforms, evaluating web applications, mobile apps, desktop software, and documents. He excels at translating complex audit findings into actionable remediation guidance that resolves accessibility barriers while maintaining design integrity.

Will’s technical foundation in full-stack development gives him a unique ability to bridge the gap between accessibility standards and practical implementation. His hands-on engineering experience allows him to work seamlessly with development teams, whether providing guidance or directly remediating issues in themes, page builders, and custom applications.

At AndiSites, Will works closely with clients to audit WordPress websites, develop practical remediation strategies, and ensure accessibility can be maintained long-term through clear documentation, training, and collaborative problem-solving.

Will Slone

1. Describe your role in five words.
Making websites work for everyone.
2. What are your main responsibilities, and what do you enjoy most about your job?
My main responsibilities involve conducting thorough accessibility audits of WordPress sites against WCAG standards, and then working directly with clients to remediate the issues we find. What I enjoy most is the problem-solving aspect, especially those challenging fixes on complex platforms where I get to dive into custom code. There's real satisfaction in transforming a site that excludes people into one that welcomes everyone, and then helping clients understand how to maintain that accessibility moving forward.
3. What has been your favorite project at AndiSites, one that you're especially proud of?
I'm really proud of the work I'm doing with Western Piedmont Community College. It's my first comprehensive manual audit at AndiSites, and their header navigation had some critical accessibility issues. Because it was built with the Divi page builder, which doesn't provide built-in accessibility options, I had to develop custom code solutions to fix it. It's exactly the kind of challenging problem-solving I love: taking a complex barrier that's blocking users and figuring out how to make it work properly. There's something especially satisfying about making navigation accessible since it's such a fundamental part of how people interact with a site.
4. What do you think makes AndiSites different from other companies?
What really stands out is that accessibility is woven into how we approach every project from day one, not treated as an afterthought. I also appreciate that we truly listen to what clients need rather than pushing solutions that just make our lives easier. With a tight-knit team, there's real ownership over our work, and clients benefit from getting direct access to the people actually doing the work, not just account managers.
5. What is a fun fact about you that people might not know?
I was once in a band that opened for Alice Cooper! It was an incredible experience and definitely not something people expect when they first meet me.
